Learnt that it`s gonna take at least 3 hours to make the curry, I woke up early to start my works.Dalam kesejukan pagi hujung minggu, dengan mata yang berat, ketika budak-budak lain masih enak dibuai mimpi, aku gagahkan diri bangun untuk memasak supaya sempat siap sebelum gerai bukak pukul 10am.Yang ajaibnya, pagi tu tak la susah sangat nak bangun.Alarm clock melalak sekali je, terus bukak mata, terus bangun.Haha..semangat giler.

But this time, I would have to cook 3 pots of curry, which means, 3 times of work compared to the day before.We were aiming to sell the remaining 230 pieces of Nans(total=300).So I started with the first 2 pots.Since that our kitchen`s stove is quite small, it could only fit 1 pot at a time.So, to cook 2 pots at a time, I had to use the 1st floor and 2nd floor`s kitchen.It`s quite tiring because I had to keep going to the 2nd floor, and then back to the 1st floor, then to the 2nd floor again, 1st floor, 2nd floor and so on..I should have waken up the others to help, tapi tak sampai hati sebab awal pagi lagi, and diorang suma letih lagi.Tapi memang patut pun kejutkan diorang kan?Tapi tak tau lah.Baik sangat aku nih.Huhu..

But, eventually, I had to wake them up as I was already tired going up and down the stairs taking care of the curry.Besides, it was about time to set up the tents.So, after taking bath and cleaning themselves, they went to the stall`s place while Akmal stayed to help me in the kitchen.

That day, again, we opened our stall a bit late, as the curry was only ready at 1030am.After some of the guys went to take the curry pots to the stall, I immediately continued with the 3rd pot.Heard from them that there were already big crowd of people at th festival.I estimated that the 3rd pot would be ready at around 130pm, in time we finished the 1st and 2nd pot.After putting the ingredients all in, I left it to Akmal to look after the pot and I went for bath and prepare myself to get to the stall.

At 11am, while having Akmal looking after the curry, I went to the stall to help there.When I arrived, there were already a few customers buying our Nan+Curry.At that time, the sales was still not that promising, but that didn`t worried us.

At almost 12pm, about time for lunch, as expected, the sales started increasingly rapidly.After about 15 minutes, a line was formed in front of our stall.At first we were very happy, with our eyes blinking of the `dollars symbol`.Hehe..But when the after about sometime, the line didn`t seem to stop and we started to kelam kabut as we had to entertain with lots of orders, especially when each of them ordered more than one plate of nan.We were very very kelam kabut till we burnt some nans while trying to grill in a big amount of them at a time.And there was a time when I we accidently delivered a customer with still-frozen Nan.Luckily we weren`t scolded by that nice lady.She seemed to understand our situation that time.

-Line in front of the stall.That guy with the box ordered 6 plates of Nan, even we were shocked ourselves that I asked him the amount again.-

Then, finally, an hour after that, the line finally stops, but of course there were still people buying.Lega sikit rasanya sebab penat giler time line yang tak putus-putus tu.Time tu la dapat rasa kepuasan orang berniaga, walaupun penat, tapi gembira and puas hati sebab customer terima apa yang kami jual.

And that`s an evidence that our Nan+Curry were very delicious!Right?Right??Hehehh..

At around 130pm, we successfully sold out all our Nans.But during that time, we still have about 1/2 pot of curry left.We could have just finished our sale and closed our stall but we just couldn`t bear listening to the customers who still demanded for some more.After some discussion, we decided to change the menu into Rice+Chicken curry.We asked for help from makcik-makcik dining hall to cook one big pot of rice for us, and they agreed.Know what?It was ready just 15 minutes after we approached them!Arigatou obasantachi!

I thought that when we changed into rice, the sales wouldn`t be as good as Nan`s.But even the rice were sold out!We managed to sell about 70 plates of them.With that, we closed our stall at exactly 220pm, way ahead of other stalls, and 2 hours before the stalls official closing time.Another success today!

Despite the `sold out` sign already hanged, still quite a number of people asking for some more .Most of them are local people who also to the festival.Some even said they are willing to have the burnt nans and curry yang dah tinggal kerak je kat dalam periuk tu.Kesian gak tengok, tapi camne nak buat, kami dah takde bahan nak buat lagi.

-Sensei ni pun kesian.Both the days he came, we were already closed.Then he asked for the burnt nans, and we gave him with some curry.He insisted to pay for it, but we just gave him for free.-

Again, today we had a lot of time to get around and buy some food from the other stalls, and also watch performances at the stage.And of course, take pictures!

You know, the best time to buy food at the festival is during the final 30 minutes of the sale time.During that period, every stalls would reduce their prices in attempt to have all their things sold.You will find that a cup of fried potato which was sold at 150yen a cup at 3pm, would be 100yen per cup at 4pm and a suprising 50yen at 420pm.Sounds like pasar borong huh?heheh..

After the sale time ended, everyone start cleaning their stalls and then returning all the props used during the 2 days of festival.We had such a great festival this year.Participating in the bazar sale was really an exciting experience for us.Gaining some profit through the sales is one thing but the most important thing to me is that we get to mix and cooperate not only among us, the foreign students, but also with the Japanese students and community.We also get the chance to promote our countries` culture, clothes and food to the Japanese people which I think is a rare chance to them.We will be looking forward for next year`s college festival and we hope that it will be as successful as this year`s.I would to thank everyone for their cooperation and help.Without them, it wouldn`t have been a smooth an enjoyful festival.Thanks everyone!

While my friends were doing their works at the stall, i head back to the hostel, to prepare the most important thing for the stall, the DISH!No dish, no sale la right?I was preparing the dish alone, but it`s not that hard, since that all the ingredients were already cut and prepared in the kitchen.So, without wasting time, let`s get cooking!!

Firstly, heat some oil and then put the onions, the spices and salt secukup rasa.Then, mm..panjang la pulak nak cerita.Takpe, kita pendekkan.
Selepas masuk kan suma bahan2, tinggal nak tunggu benda tu masak secukupnya sahaja.hehe..
Since it`s my first time cooking something in a big quantity like this one, i can`t really expect the time needed for the dish to be fully cooked.I bet even my mum had never cooked anything as much as this.I estimated that it would be ready by 2pm, about an hour later.If my estimation is right, than it would be in time for the stalls opening time, which was at 330pm.
So, while waiting, I went for my bath.Tak mandi lagi.heheh..

Lepas siap mandi, kemas-kemas semua, I went to check the dish, and know what??It was far from ready!The kuah was still cair, not yet the kepekatan that I was expecting.The reason: Japanese stoves punya api are not that strong like we have in Malaysia, hence the slow cooking time.I waited till 2pm crossing my finger, that it will be ready by that time.But still, it wasn`t ready.In term of "kebolehmakanan", dah boleh makan dah, dah sedap dah pun, just the thickness was still not suitable for the dish we`d be serving.At 3pm, it was still not ready, and I started to get worried.The stalls would be opening in half an hour.Then my junior, Rosdi came.We discussed on what to do about it, and Rosdi came with a 'brilliant' idea..

Lastly we thought of dividing it into 2 pots, and continued heating them.This time, it worked!But by the time we finished cooking, it was already 430pm, an hour late.Kami dengan segera angkut bawak pegi gerai.Our senior, Adil complained a bit about the late arrival, because there were already some customers asking about when were we going to open our stall.

As soon as the dish arrived, we opened our stall and start our next work, promoting and attracting customers.At first, the sales were quite slow, only a few plates were sold.But starting from 530 pm, people started coming another after another, even kami kelam kabut nak prepare.At 6pm was the most peak time, thanks to the fact that it`s exactly dinner time.

Oh ya, this was our dish.Nan + Chicken curry!Sedap tau!

While we were entertaining the our customers at the stall, there were some performances happening at the main stage.Dari jauh bunyi macam best, rasa nak pergi tengok je, tapi kat gerai tak cukup tangan.

By the time it started to get dark, which was about 630pm, we were already sold-out!We aimed to sell about 50 plates that day, and we managed to sell about 70 plates of nan.And our periuk kari licin abis!Kami sendiri dapat makan sikit je.Betul2 sikit.Rosdi kempunan tak sempat makan.Kawaiso~.haha..That was an achievement for us, despite starting an hour late from the others.

It was good thing that we finished early, we got the time to wonder around, looking at other stalls,and watching the performances.Dah abis pusing-pusing, ada masa lagi before the fireworks display, so it`s camwhoring time!

Then, at 730pm, we moved to the school ground for the fireworks display.It was splendid!

The fireworks show lasted for 15 minutes, and with the end of the show, that`s the end for Zenyasai that day.Everyone than started packing their stalls, looking forward for Bunkasai the next day.We hoped that the sales would be as good as today.

Dah habis kemas, perut pun dah kenyang, badan pun penat, kami pun balik hostel berehat..

2008 College Festival - Preparation

Early this month, from 1st-6th november, our college had the annual College Festival.This years theme is Cultural Bakasawagi.
The festival is held for 6 days, and consists of a few event:
Zenyasai(Pre-night Festival, 2nd Nov)
Bunkasai(Cultural Festival, 3rd Nov)
Taiikusai(Sports Festival, 5th Nov)

This year, the foreign students decided to open a stall during the Zenyasai and Bunkasai day.Last year we didn`t get to have the stall as our senior at that time said no about it though we really wanted to.For sure, we as the junior couldn`t do anything and just dengan berat hati nodded our head to what he said.But this year, we discussed among ourselves and agreed that it is a MUST to open the stall during the festival.
So, after going through all the paperworks, meetings and so on, we finally got the permission from the festival`s committe.
After the class ended on that Friday(31st Oct), we started preparing for the festival.

On the night before Zenyasai, we started preparing all the ingredients needed for the dish that we were going to sell.I am very happy and glad that everyone were very cooperative, and they were willing to listen to everything they were asked to do, without complaining.

After finishing the ingredient-cutting-sambil mengumpat session, we continued with our country introduction-poster.The poster is to be exhibited during the Bunkasai day to promote our countries and nak ajar sikit org2 Jepun ni yang tak tau pasal negara2 luar.

Zenyasai day-2nd November 08

The festival would start at 12pm with the students gathered, wear a kind of costume and carry a thing(I forgot the name), paraded around the town and get back to the college after 2pm.They would be splashed with water by the people along the way.The college`s festival is very well known to local people in Kurume and the college receives a lot of support from them.I noticed this when I saw the programme book for the festival, where there were list of sponsor companies written there.Now I know how the college could afford to have fireworks during the festival.

The stalls would only start selling from 3pm, so we took the time in the morning to cut some more onions and potatoes for our dish.

At 930am, while the others continued with the cutting session, me and 3 others went to set up our stall`s tent.

By 11pm, everybody had finished setting up their stall.There would be around 30 stalls selling all kinds of food, drinks and even doing some games.Since that our stall were already up, I left it up to my friends to take care of things like decorations etc, while I head back to the hostel to prepare the dish!

Since that it looks like it`s gonna take some time processing the photos from the College Festival, I think its better to put something else first, so that at least there`s an update right? (;

On the day after th Cultural Festival day(one of the festival in the College Festival), we had a day off.Actually it`s a day for kemas2 all the things from the stalls the day before, but since that kami xde kaitan dgn kemas2 nih, we decided to go out for jalan2 sikit.Sebenarnya nak pegi lunch kat Tandoori, kedai Pakistan, tapi alang2 dah keluar jauh sikit tu, kira jalan lah sekali kan?

When we arrived at Tandoori, it was closed, so we went to other place.We decided to try something at Jolly Pasta.

After eating, we decided to go back to the college using other route, thinking of jalan2 a bit.

Ishibashi is actually the Japanese name for Bridgestone, a famous tyre-maker company.Bridgestone actually comes from this city.That`s why there are quite a number of places in Kurume-city with the company`s name together with them as they are built and contributed by the company.

Coming here, I can feel the autumn mood because the tree`s leaves had already changed their colours, not like the trees at the college`s.Maybe they are different type of trees, I think.

It has been a while since my last post.lots of things happened during the past one month.some were happy ones, some were not.actually I was thinking of writing about my Hari Raya celebration that day but I was too busy that i didn`t even have time to switch on my laptop.2 weeks after raya, I finally had my free time so I decided to have my raya post written.But, I dunno why, maybe it was my bad luck, I couldn`t open the files in my hard disk.I tried a few times to open, even try asking my friends to help, but to no avail.I think the files corrupted.Only god knows how sad I was at that time.Kalau file tu nak corrupt, x kisah sbnrnya, tp yg kisah tu dgn file2 gambar sekali sume corrupt!abis sume gambar yg ade kat dlm hard disk tu.Xder sebijik pun lagi yg tinggal.Sume tu gambar2 dari mula2 sampai kat Jepun dulu sampai raya aritu.Waaaaa!!!!!Sedih sangat2..

Mula2 tu memang sedih giler2, tp dh bbrp hr lps tu dh redha dh.Anggap je la sume nye takdir.Anggap je ade hikmah bnde tu jadik.Maybe it was a sign from Allah for me to start a new life after something that happened a few days before that.Maybe.We don`t know what Allah plans for us.Hope that life after this will be better and happier.Hope so.InsyaAllah..

Last week I went for a programming contest for 4 days in Fukushima.Had a lot of fun!I`ll post something about that later, after I got all the photos from my lecturer.In 3 days time, my college will be having the yearly held Kosen Sai(College Festival) just like the one last year.Its gonna be an unofficial a week holiday for us!=)This year me and my other foreign student friends are going to have a stall during 2 days of the festival.Wanna know what are we gonna sell?Wait for the post on the festival later k.X leh bagitau awal2.X best.hehe..X sbr ni berfestival.Harap2 urikire(売り切れ)(sold out) nanti.Nanti dapat la banyak sikit untung. ;P

currently am treating myself with the lagu rayas from my itunes library.i am now in da middle of my 10days holiday after the final exam.kind of bored right now coz got nothing to do.actually i got an assignment to be done and sent this tuesday, but dunno, dun have da feeling to do it.homesick kot..maybe la, a bit.sape x homesick when it`s only 5 more days to raya?i bet everyone in msia is already packing, getting ready to balik kampung right now n some may even have been goyang kaki at home.huhu..mmg skrg ni tgh cuti, tp yg tak best nya, cuti tu habis 30hb while raya will most probably be on the 1st oct.huaa..nk raya..this is my second raya in this land of sunrise, but it`s the first raya during class.dunno if i can concentrate in class that day.of course la cannot kn?dh la brg2 yg anta dr msia aritu x sampai2 lagi.kalau dh sampai, boleh la jugak masak sikit2, buat melepaskan gian nk mkn ketupat n rendang, though it certainly wont be as good as my mum`s.urmm..nk mkn sate gak, lemang, kek lapis, biskut2 etc...huaaa!!ckup2, x nk sebut lg.nnti lg homesick nnti.

you know, last night i got a sms from my family.i thought that it was from my father, but when i read through the whole text message, i knew that it was from my little sister.i didn`t believe myself at first, but yes, it is from my little sister.and you know how old she is?she`s almost seven years old.primary one this year.it was a simple message, asking how am i doing, what did i have for buka puasa etc..she also told me that she has learned how to perform solat.together with my 5 years old little brother.alhamdulillah..but, the part when she asked, "when r u coming home?", i really felt like crying.sedih coz i wont be coming home until at least for another one year.maybe more.that message really touched me.maybe it`s because that i`ve been really close with those two little sister and brother of mine.i dont really know why, maybe i`d been spending so much time taking care of them when they were smaller babies.maybe la.thus making them tend to be more close with me than my other siblings.huu..sori k lil sis.bang long wont be coming home this raya.if only could have holiday on dat day, i would certainly be coming home to celebrate raya with all of you.surely.but i couldn`t.dont really know what to say, but sabar la k?maybe next year, or the years after that, we can celebrate raya like we have had before.really miss being with u guys on hari raya.jgn nakal2 kat rumah, n make sure u n irfan help mum and dad with the preparations too, k?n also study elok2, dont malas2 belajar kat sekolah.and take good care of urself.love you n miss you so much...

ari ni dh seminggu dah kita puasa.cepat je rasa masa berlalu.pejam celik dah 7 hari puasa.23hari je lagi nak raya.hehe..tahun ni bez la jgk puasa kat sini.dah ada teman nk berbuka, dan sahur.tahun lepas sorang2 je sahur, berbuka.kadang2 pilu jugak rasa.bersyukur sgt2 bdak2 junior aku ni pilih nak datang sini.dpt la kitorang sama2 masak untuk berbuka.n raya nanti tak la aku keseorangan.serius sedih gler raya sorang.aku bersyukur sgt2 tahun ni.alhamdulillah..

next week aku stat exam.hr khamis.exm 2 minggu.hopefully aku bleh skor kali ni.nak tampung balik lobang2 yg byk giler time mid sem ari tu.memang ade subjek yg memang rasa mustahil untuk aku skor.tp aku kena cuba gak.kalau tak cuba tak tahu kan?

tadi kan lepas lunch, aku baring sekejap kat katil.ingat nk baring2 kejap je, skali tertido terus.tengah sedap tido tu, tiba-tiba aku terjaga dan seolah2 macam terkejut dengan sesuatu dan aku terus bangkit duduk.hati aku berdebar2.tiba rasa sedih sangat2, rasa nak menangis.aku rasa rindu sangat2 kat rumah, rindu macam dah 10 tahun dah tak balik.sedangkan baru je balik aritu.makin aku fikirkan kenapa aku rasa macam tu, makin sedih rasa hati aku.entah la.aku pun tak tahu kenapa.

lepas aku ambik wuduk baru rasa tenang sikit.kemudian aku teringat yang sebelum tertido tadi aku ada berborak dengan junior2 ku pasal puasa kat sini.and aku tadi baru jugak anta ucapan2 salam ramadhan untuk kawan2 aku.jd aku rasa sedih tu mungkin sebab terkenangkan yang puasa dah dekat.mungkin esok.aku rasa sedih sebab tak dapat puasa dengan family kat rumah.dan kalau masuk tahun ni, 2 tahun lah aku tak puasa dan raya dengan family.time puasa ni pun kitorang ada exam.abis exam aku ada lawatan plak ke tokyo seminggu.pastu raya nanti pulak hari rabu.time kelas.memang tak raya la kitorang tahun ni.tahun lepas ok lagi sebab hari sabtu.boleh kumpul ramai2 sambut raya.

aku sedih bila teringatkan yang aku tak dapat tolong family aku buat persiapan raya.biasanya raya aku la yang paling sibuk.malam sebelum raya tu memang tak tido aku dengan mak aku.pagi pegi sembahyang raya dengan mata merah, bengkak je.tapi aku tak kisah.aku gembira dapat tolong mak aku.aku rindu nak pegi jalan raya, especially dengan kawan2.ramai2 pegi serbu rumah member2, cikgu2.rindu giler.time bulan puasa ni rindu nak g bazar.rindu nak bukak puasa, sahur dengan family.rindu semuanya.tak tahu lagi berapa tahun baru aku dapat rasa semua tu balik.huhu..

ayah, umi, dan adik2 ku yang lain, abang nak ucapkan selamat menyambut bulan ramadhan, dan selamat berpuasa.abang mintak maaf atas segala salah dan silap abang, halalkan segalanya ok.abang mintak maaf sebab tahun ni pun tak bersama time puasa dengan raya.doakan kejayaan abng kat sini eh.abang doakan semoga semua kita beroleh nikmat dan keberkatan dari Allah s.w.t.

Mitsui Greenland

Went to Mitsui Greenland.a theme park.about an hour train ride from my college.it was cludy and windy that day.nasib baik pakai baju 2 lapis.ramai gilaer orang aritu.sbb aritu Children`s Day kat Jepun.So ramai parents yang datang bawak anak2 diorang.

We went for a tour of Fukuoka City.Dah setahun duduk kat sini tappi baru ni la dapat nak jalan explore bandar Fukuoka ni.tapi malangnya sorang drpd kitorang demam, so it`s only me and Akmal this time.

Hakata Dontaku Festival and Parade

One of Fukuoka City`s biggest festival.Celebrated on the 3rd and 4th of May every year.There were parades, cultural shows, food fair, fireworks display and etc..It attracts more than 2million spectators every year.

Visit to Kurogi Machi

this was the 2nd time i went there.last year i went with the other foreign students, but this year only the malaysian student accepted the teachers invitation.the others said that they were busy, with reports, other commitments bla..bla..

sorry guys for not updating my blog since may.it has been 2 months!sorry k.it`s juz that i was not in da mood of writing anything.dunno la why.bila xde mood tu, xde la idea nk tulis paper kn?kdg2 ade la gak idea p xde mood nk tulis.hehe..but guys, this post would still not mark my comeback here.i would only start writing sumthng back here after my summer holiday.i need to refresh myself, get myself back into the mood of striving in my study, and everythng.from the moment i had my exam last time in may till now, my feeling has been down all the time like a graft yg jatuh sampai ke kosong, n x naik2 lg sampai skrg.the reason:my exm results was.....hu..x nk cite ah.phm2 sendiri.dats why i decided that i wanna have a very good summer holiday this time, refresh, recharge and tune myself back into a striving student.wish me luck k!c u guys back after the summer holiday!jya!=)

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park

when i heard about the `World Food Festival` to be held in Fukuoka from my friend, the first thing that came out in my mind was image of people shouting "kuih, kuih" or "mari2 bang, akak" and people busy buying food and delicacies juz like the bazar ramadhan we have in malaysia.but this one has the word `World` which i think would be more interesting.though i knew that maybe most of the food are not halal, i decided to go there to have a look at the festival coz it sounds happening as according to my friend, there were also cultural shows by countries participating.and i was sure that we could find sumthng we can eat coz i was confident that there would be a malaysian stall there.

so, on sunday morning we(me+my 2 junior=us, malaysian) started moving from the college at about 1030am, rode bicycle to the train station and get the tickets to Uminonakamichi Station.i checked in the internet the night before about that place and i found out that there is an aquarium near that area.so, the aquarium, Marine World was also in our place to visit list that day.

after changing train at Kashii Station, we got into the Kashii Line train to the Uminonakamichi Station.so, after 2 hours, we finally arrived at our destination.(took quite a long time because the Kashii Line trains are old trains, i think the year 60`s punye train, thats why it was quite slow + the waiting time + the time spending looking for platform).but, thankfully, we arrived safely.

when we got off the train, we found ourself in front of the Uminonakamichi Seaside Park entrance gate.our main purpose coming here was just to go to the food festival and then to the aquarium, but when i asked the person at the gate, she said that the food festival is held sumwhere in the park and she showed the place in the map which we didn`t look at(we regretted later for not looking).thinking that we wont be having problem looking for the place, we got into the park.we were very lucky because that day the park was opening its gate for free!jimat 400yen!hehe..from the map we got to know that the park is very big(it is situated at a `tanjung`, and the whole `tanjung` is the park).so we rent a bicycle to get around the park, 410 yen for 3 hours.

then, we started our journey through the park.we cycled all the way along the road built by the park specially for bicycles, which is similar to normal roads system but just it is narrower.it was quite fun riding the bicycles, with other people who mostly came with their families.

the first place that we passed by was the roller coaster and the ferris wheel.the roller coaster didn`t look really frightening, so we continued cycling.then we reached a lake with people picnicking around the lake.at the other side of the lake is a garden with many colourful flowers.and beside the garden there is a ground with full with people playing and relaxing there.there were also some stalls selling food and drinks around the ground.we thought that that was the food festival, so we went to take a look but we were wrong.they were just normal stalls selling japanese food.dissapointed, we wondered around the area, taking some pictures.then, we continued cycling, hoping that we would find the food festival next.but, we just found a big playground full with kids and then we found ourselves at a mini zoo gate.since that there were no need for entrance fee, we went in.at first i thought that the mini zoo is just a simple zoo with just birds and maybe some few animals, but went we got in, we got to see quite a lot of animals there.and there were kangaroos and llamas, and also capibaras.had quite some fun there.

after a visit at the mini zoo, we went cycling again, still looking for the food festival.since that we had spent more than an hour looking for it, we decided to get back to the park main gate to get the park`s map.the time we got the map, we regretted ourselves really much for not listening to what the person at the gate said before.the food fair was just sumwhere near the ferris wheel that we passed before!penat pusing satu taman nak carik, rupenye dkt je.huh!then ape lagi, we straight away went there.

there were a lot of people at the food festival.there were about 20 stalls, each of different countries there.most of them were the arabs and asian countries stalls.there was just one mat saleh stall which was the french.we looked for the malaysian stall bcoz we were really hungry at that time(belum lunch lagi).we found the stall but to our dissapointment, their`s had been sold out!huhu..there were only some cucur leftbut that wasn`t enough for our very hungry stomach.so we went for the other option, the arab`s stalls.and we got to eat roti pita with chicken.while eating, we enjoyed watching the cultural performance at the main stage.at about 5 minutes to 4pm, we went back to the gate to return our bicycles.since it`s still early, we decided to go to the aquarium, Marine World.

after paying the tickets we when inside.it was quite a big aquarium.much much bigger than Aquaria KLCC but smaller than the Osaka Aquarium.we got the chance to see the dolphin and sea lion show.and we got to see penguins for the first time!japanese like penguins very much, thats why i think that it is a must for penguins to be in zoos or aqurium here.we spent more than three hours there, had our dinner there too.at around 8, we head to the station to go back to our college.it was a really tiring day but we enjoyed ourselves very much!we got to see and experience a lot of things today.i`m so grateful that those two juniors came to my college this year.with their presence, i got to do lots of things with them, especially jalan2 which i didn`t get to do last year.the reason is, i had no one to go with me.hu..sedih kan?jalan ramai2 lagi best dr jaln sorg2.btol x?hehe..thank god for giving me companion this year and i hope that there`s more coming next year.mari kita meramaikan kurume kosen.yeah!=)

hi!sorry to keep u guys(those who were witing for updates) waiting for quite some time.it has been 2 months since i last updated my page.lots of things happened during that 2 months, but its juz that i dont have the `mood` to write sumthg.i juz cant think of anythng to write.hehe..malas kot.sori again guys.hmm..oh ya, did i tell you about my final exam result?da one that i was so worried about that i studied so hard sampai demam.you know, i got quite good marks in almost all the papers and after the percentage of all subject were calculated, i passed the math paper which was the decider wether i can go back to malaysia or not,　though the mark was juz cukup2 mkn.ok la.alhamdulillah..and then, 2 days after i got to know my results, i was on my way back home!!yeay!i used cathay pacific to fly home.i can be considered lucky because i dont need to get to tokyo or osaka first to get home.i went back home from fukuoka airport, which is just about 40 minutes bus or train ride from place.though i had to stop over in hong kong for a night as there were no connecting flight available on the same day, i had fun wondering around hong kong city that night, taking some pictures and seeing hong kong people`s life.however i juz wondered in the area around hong kong train station as i was afraid of getting lost if i go sumwhere further than the area.plus, i was alone!and hong kong is also famous for its gangsters etc..but, it is already enough to say that i`d stepped my foot in hong kong.hehe..the last time i went back to malaysia, during last year`s summer, i had a stop over in taiwan.i also took the chance to wonder around taipei at that time and i got to go the famous places there including the taipei 101 tower.i was so lucky that i got to join the taipei city tour package provided by the airport for transit and stop over passengers and it was free of charge!hehe..

at home, i spent all the time with my my family.we had barbeque, picnic and jalan2 together.the best thing is that my parents were very nice that i got to eat everything that i want from satays, cakes, laksa sarawak, rojak and etc..thanks mum, dad!but the consequence, my weight was up almost 5kg in juz a month!that was sumthing ok!terkejut gila bila timbang aritu.xpe2.lps ni exercise byk2, kurgkn berat.hehe..ckp je tu, bkn ny buat pon.haha..time was moving really fast that i didn`t realize that my month long holiday was already over and i had to get back to japan.it was really sad separating with my family at the airport but for the sake of my study, aku gagahkan diriku masuk ke boarding hall and then into the plane waiting.huhu..i can still remember clearly the moment i waved to my family before getting into the plane.miss u guys so much.till we met again k!

when i got to japan, i was expecting that i would be homesick juz like the last time i went back.but this time it is different.when i got to my hostel, when i saw the two new junior from malaysia, the homesick feeling was gone.maybe because that i was very happy to know that i wont be alone again.juz being able to speak bahasa melayu with sumone here made me feel really close to home.haha..i really dont know how to describe how i feel, but what i can say is that i am very happy.now i have sumone to chat with, to play, to jln2 and to masak and makan sama2.hehe..ya, i now masak sendiri with those two junior.i dont eat at the hostel`s dining hall anymore cause its cheaper that way.furthermore, its more seronok masak and makan rame2.=)

this year i am in the 4th year of my study in this college and my second year in japan.this year i`ll start studying those mechanical engineering related stuff like fluid mechanics, dyamics, material, designing, processing etc and they are much tougher than the subjects i learnt last year.i am praying that would c do better this year in my studies as this year is a very important year for me.in about a year time i`ll be sitting for university entrance exam which will decide where and what will i do in university.and my exam results for this year would also be a factor to decide where i can go in the future.to achieve that, i have to change myself first, as now i have quite an easy-happy-go-lucky life which wont help me at all.hmm..dont know lah.also said things like that to myself but in the end, it still the same old me.hehe..oh no,no,no.this time i will change.i must believe in myself, right?he..tomorrow maybe i`ll be going to the `World Festival` in fukuoka.there will be stalls and cultural performance from countries around the world and i heard that there are malaysians too there.gonna take a lot of pictures tomorrow!k, till next time guys..

it has been quite some time since da last time i updated my blog.i`ve promised before dat i`ll update it after my exam.i`d finished my exam a week ago and during dat week, I didn`t had anything to do, it was very boring.actually i`d thought of writing sumthing here but I juz couldn`t think of anything to write.maybe at dat time I was really worried about my exam result, how is it going to be.still worried actually.i got 1 subject which i did very badly during the midterm exam dat i`m afraid it will affect my overall result.to make it worse, the person who`s teaching dat subject is not our college`s teacher, he`s from other school, or institute, i dunno.and dat makes it hard to contact him to ask bout my result.if I could contact him, and if my result is not okay, I can ask from him for a reseat or whatever dat can help to improve my marks.hmm..really hope dat my result would be ok.

ya, yesterday we, the international students were invited by our college`s nurse to have dinner with at a restaurant somewhere near the college.we call her Noda Sensei.she has a very good relationship with the international students even since before we came here.maybe dat is because of her character which can say, there`s only 1 in a million japanese like her.she`s very different from other japanese, not skema like other japanese.she herself always openly kutuk other japanese in front of us. she really understand us well, and she is very concern about our life here.i`m not very good in describing a person, all I can say is dat she`s juz like a mum to us.she`s the place where we find comfort whenever we`ve problem like when we`re homesick, when we`re down, lonely or even juz to have some borak kosong.

she would actually organise barbeque a few times every year but since she`s always been busy this year, we didn`t manage to have the barbeque even once.so, as somekind like replacement for those barbeques, she invited us for the dinner.

the restaurant was not very far the college, so we just walked there.it was really cold, and plus the strong wind, it`s even more cold.

amesh, our senior will be graduating from our college this march, so this dinner was also meant for celebrating him.noda sensei ordered a set of big meal, plus this and that and we had a makan besar last night.

the others were really enjoying themselves, they ordered beers, cocktails.and me, i didn`t have much choice, so i only had grape fruitjuice and orange juice.

the potato really looks yummy, but x sempat i nak ambik, my friend already use his spoon yg dh kena buta(pork) to take it.so, kempunan.tu la, sape suruh lmbat kan?

lastly, before the deserts, bubur nasi.

and after the porridge, dessert.it was vanilla ice cream with coffee powder on top.it was simple, but really delicious!gonna try it to make it myself after this.

actually there were some other meals also, but those above are the ones that i can eat.while eating, we had a lot of conversation, jumping from a topic to another.some were really `otona poi` (adults like) conversation like the world`s politic, economy condition bla..bla..
haha..i laughed myself whenever i remembered talking bout those things coz i still don`t feel that i`m an adult yet.i`m not, right?i`m still a teenager with a kid`s mentality.hehehh..
we talked and talked till we didn`t realized it was already 10pm.since noda sensei had to go to work the next day, and her house is quite far, we decided to have our move.after thanking noda sensei for the treat, we then head back to hostel with our well filled stomach.=)

last night while looking through the mechanical drawing textbook for today`s paper, i started to feel that there`s sumthing wrong with me.i can`t concentrate on what i`m reading and looking at.my body also felt x selesa.i tried a few times to get rid of it by changing my seating posture, adjusting my shirt and pants here and there, even adjusting the table lamp`s light.but still, i felt uncomfortable.my body also felt tired and weak eventhough i`d slept about 2 hours in the afternoon(after the exam).then, i also felt uncomfortable in my throat.thinking that it was like a sign of fever coming, i closed my book, quickly went to sleep early only to hope that i won`t caught one.and ya, i took 2 panadols before sleeping.

this morning, i woke up with my head felt a bit heavy, my nose tersumbat, sorethroat and my body feeling a bit weak.there goes me, caught a fever!unlucky isn`t it?caught a fever in the middle of my final exam.but thankfully, today`s paper weren`t the difficult ones.and its gonna be 3days holiday stating from tomorrow.got the time to get over this fever.hope so.but still i need to study cause next week`s paper are the difficult ones.math, programming, mechanics, material and lastly physics.but i dont think that i`m gonna study like the week before, very little sleep, which i think is the cause of this fever.

with todays fever, there goes also my record of not having a fever since i came to japan.the first time i`m sick in japan!huhu..ya, got to remember todays date!heheh..

geezz..since its exam`s week, i told myself to turn away from FJ, but its juz like there`s some special bond between us that i`d feel uneasy without her.you can say that i`m addicted to FJ, but i juz can`t help it.maybe it is because that she has been my most loyal companion since I came here.=)
today was my 2nd day of exam.i had only 1 paper today, english.maybe ok la kot but the questions this time were quite difficult than those previous ones.it wasn`t because of difficult words or sentences or even idioms, it was juz that, how should i say it,mm...if you dont know japanese, you cannnot answer lah.imagine if you were asked to translate english sentences in the paragraph into japanese.though ive been here almost a year, there are still limits in my japanese vocabulary.and there`s another question where they give a passage, for example about manners at dinner table.and the instruction for that question sounds like this:

Give the improper manners at dinner table in details.Please answer in Japanese.

there was about 4 questions were like this.the answer was of course written in the passage but, why they want the answer to be in japanese?i can`t understand that.why can`t juz write them in english?i think writing in them in english is a more appropriate way to teach student to understand english more, right?

but of all the the questions, the most ridiculous one is when they give you a passage like this:

To understand American culture, it is.................
.......to describe the same thing.Consider the sandwich.There is special kind of sandwich that is made with French bread.It contains a lot of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.To order this is New England, you must say "_____".To order the same in New York, you have to say "_____".To get it in Pennsylvannia, you would use the word "______".And if you you want to eat in New Orleans, you would have to say "po`boy".No matter what you say, though, it always tastes good.

and the ques. was: fill in the blanks with the appropriate words from below.
a. hoagy b. hero c. grinder

why i felt it was ridiculous is that it requires you to remember the passage learned in class in order to answer the question.(the ques. asked in the exam are all exactly the same as in the textbook used in class).i didn`t expect this kind of question would come out, so i was quite x puas hati when i saw this kind of questions.and did i tell you that all the instructions are in japanese?even the class is fully conducted in japanese!in class, i can say its lucky if you were asked to read a sentence or answer the questions by the teacher as it is maybe your only english sentence or word in two weeks!no wonder why japanese people cant improve their english.and that`s why there`s so few japanese who can speak english.(to anyone who is travelling to japan, i advice you to look for someone you know in japan, a friend for example, who can speak japanese to be with you during your travel.if not, you would have problems communicating with the locals here.especially for muslims, when it comes to searching for edible food.)

as for me right now, my english is deteriorating bit by bit.now i can`t speak english as fluent as before.i am not saying that my english was fluent, but it was better 2 or 3 years ago compare to now.and for essays, i don`t think that i can write them anymore.that`s why, for the sake of not losing my writing skill completely, i am writing my blog in english.so pliz juz ignore it whenever you spot any mistakes here k.actually i`m quite jealous with my friends going to uk, america, even those studying in malaysia coz i believe their english now is far far way better than me.but i dont regret my choice to study here.to me, i believe there`s reason in everything, or in a more familiar words, `ada hikmah di sebaliknya`.maybe i`m not gonna as good as my other friends in english, but i got the chance to learn a new language.maybe from my own view, i`d say that my friends are lucky, but maybe from my friends view, they`d say that i`m lucky.Allah is fair right?

hmm...its already 8.got to get myself to study now.tomorrow i got mechanical drawing and another english paper.yup, this english paper is juz like the one today, giving out questions exactly from the text book but this time, they won`t be any translation questions coz the lecturer is so baik.=)

I have watched sumo live!!It was at the Nihon Sumo Kyokai (Japan Grand Sumo Tournament) being held in Fukuoka.Actually it was our nihongo teacher who invited us to go see watch sumo with her.It was her 1st time watching sumo live too.Thinking that it was a rare opportunity, we accepted her invitation.
We got to Fukuoka early in the morning to get the tickets.Takut lambat2 nanti sold out plak. We bought the ￥3100 ticket .That`s about RM93.That`s the cheapest ok.It was still 1030am and we would only watch the matches starting from 3pm.The earlier ones are the rookies and beginners matches.Not really interesting to watch.So, after getting the tickets, we went for jalan2 around the city.

My college just had a `Kousensai` or college festival recently, from the nov 1st till nov6th.The festival consists of bunkasai(culture festival) and taiikusai(kind of like sports festival).I was waiting eagerly for that festival since that everyone was saying that it`s gonna be fun.But I think, besides the festival, everyone was eager because it was going to be no class for a week !

Then, it continued with `kibasen`, the most significant game for this college`s sports festival.It has been held since the college`s first festival, about 42 years ago.It was quite a dangerous game.You could easily get injured.That`s why those participated wore the protective helmets.Luckily I didn`t get chosen.But almost!

Halfway through the final between the mechanical and electrical, the downpour became heavy and the organiser decided to cancel the other games after the kibasen.The overall winner were decided by collected points till the kibasen.And after the calculation...

After the prize ceremony, everyone then just bertempiaran lari as the rain became heavier and that concluded this year`s sports festival and college festival as a whole.There were rumours that they wont be any sports festival anymore starting from next year.They said that the school administration, the teachers and the student representative are still on discussion about it.Oh please, don`t take the sports festival away.The students really enjoyed it.It is the sports festival that makes the college festival interesting.Come on student representatives!Lets make the school keep the sports festival for the coming years!

For those who have been wondering about my raya, here`s how it was.

This year`s raya was my first raya away from family n friends.At the beginning, I couldn`t imagine myself celebrating raya without my family.I kept thinking that I would cry the whole day of raya here.It isn`t raya if there`s no those ketupat, rendang, cakes, biscuits, going for sembahyang raya, having those maaf-bermaafan sesssion, jalan raya, duit raya, watching raya movies on tv, waiting for new raya tv commercials etc, don`t you think so?I always felt like crying when I remembered all those things.To make it worst, having to celebrate raya alone at hostel.I couldn`t imagine that at first.I tried to find out the way not to celebrate raya alone, and i got a few choices.
1.Go to celebrate raya at the Msian embassy in tokyo(canceled after calculating the cost to get there as my place is very far from tokyo)
2.Celebrate raya at Kumamoto, as there are quite a number of Msian students there.(also canceled because I dont really know them)
3.Celebrate raya at Nagasaki University(also quite a number of msian students here.this was my choice because i`ve met a few of them before and there is two guys the same age of me.but the main attraction for me was when they said that there would be sembahyang raya)

But a few days after I`d made my decision, a letter from the school came informing that all the international students would have a class on the 13oct.A japanese language class.reading this, my hearts was just like, shattered.My raya plan is ruined!And because of that, i gave up of having raya this year.I even told my mother not to send the baju melayu and cookies that i`d asked before eventhough I actually really wanted them.I told that to her with tears running down my cheeks.I was very sad at that time.I wouldn`t care that much if I have other companion here, other msian student with me as I can still celebrate with him at the hostel.But the thing is that, I`m the only msian here.Not being able to go to other place to celebrate raya means totally no raya for me, with the japanese class was going to be a whole day.

But one thing happened, which changed my thoughts.One day when I received a package from my family, and it was containing the things that i`d asked my mother to send before.It happened to be that my mother still send those things to me despite me giving up, telling them that i`m not going to celebrate raya and there`s no need to send them.At that time, I was feeling just like want to hug my parents and kiss their cheeks.I was shouting in my heart, "Thanks mom!Thanks dad!".I was very happy and my spirit to celebrate raya came back.Guys, that`s the love of our parents, our family.They would do anything to make you happy.They really understand you, just like my parents,they knew that I actually didn`t really mean it when I said that I don`t want those things.So, guys, one advice I would like to tell you, please appreciate your parents.Love them more than you love yourselves.Never ever hurt them.Never ever disobey them.Your parents really love you eventhough they maybe dont really show it, or maybe you dont realize it.For those who still think that their parents dont love them, as time passes, as you get older, you will realize it.I didn`t realize it from the beginning myself.I took time to realize it.But I thank God that I`ve managed to realize it.

Ok, back to my raya story, after my spirit to celebrate raya came back, I decided that I would celebrate just like everyone else, I would prepare rendang, ketupat and eat them on the raya day even if I`ll be alone.So, thinking of that, I bought some halal meat and chicken from the internet to prepare on raya day.

About a week before raya, I suddenly thought of asking for excuse from the japanese language class, so that I can go to Nagasaki and celebrate raya there.I was quite afraid to asked at the beginning, but for the sake of raya, I forced myself.And know what, I got it!I was really happy and couldnt wait it for raya!

So after the finishing class at 430pm on 12oct, the day before raya, I started packing my bag to go to Nagasaki.I then waited until about 6pm,after breaking fast, and then started to move to the train station.At the station, I asked for a Kamome ticket, an express train to Nagasaki and i was given a Green Ticket, a first class ticket.I didnt know why I was given that, because the price was quite cheap, but hentam sajalah.Rezeki kot.Alhamdulillah...

7.23pm-I boarded the train.

In Nagasaki, I stayed at my senior, Suhaimi`s house who is studying at Nagasaki University.He was once a student at my current college before I came there.

The journey took about 2 hours and it was already about 930 pm when I got there.From the nagasaki station, I took a roumen densha(a local train) to suhaimi`s house.He was waiting for me near the station where i am going to drop off with 2 other malaysians, syahmi and sak, both are as the same age as me.We then went to syahmi and sak`s house first, spend some time there and then to suhaimi`s house.We didnt do much thing that night.Just some chatting, eating and watching movies.We slept at about 3am.

The next day, with the spirit to celebrate raya, I woke up at about 6am.After shower, I changed into baju melayu that my mum sent before.Suhaimi was told that the raya prayer would start at 730am.Thinking that 730 was a gathering time, we decided to start moving from the house around 745am so that when we arrive at the place, it is just the right time they start the prayer.But then, as we were just about to start moving, syahmi called saying that the prayer is already over.And there goes us, missing the raya prayer and me, missing the raya prayer on my first raya in perantauan.But we still went there to join the others for a jamuan.

After the jamuan, we were going for a `jalan raya` at a malaysians house who is working at a shipping company here.We would be moving at around 1030am and while waiting for that time, we played some games.

1030am-After another malaysian, Kismet, a bidayuh sarawakian came, we started to move.

When we arrived there, there were already a few other malaysians there and I found out that almost all of them are working at the same malaysian shipping company, MISC here.

-the house we went to-

-its there were I found out that there are actually lots of malaysian in Japan-

-the cakes and cookies-

-most of them were eaten by me.heheh..-

-Ate a lot that day.There were ketupat,lemang,rendang,serunding,ayam masak merah,kuah sate,nasi bryani,roti jala and laksa penang-but I still miss my mom`s-

At the house, apart from eating, I managed to get to know to some of the other malaysians who also came.There were also some japanese who are their colleagues coming to join the celebration.We were there till about 430pm.After solat asar , we went back home.And I can say it was also the end of my raya for this year.

That night, I joined the Nagasaki University students at their weekly activity, playing badminton.They were going to a tournament the next day, so they invited me to join them pratice for the tournament.

The next day, I went with them to their badminton tournament.I act as a
supporter that day.The were competing under the Lavender club together with a few japanese.The malaysian had 4 pairs competing consists of the nagasaki university`s students and the malaysians of the shipping company.

After the tournament, we went to celebrate their win at a restaurant.

After eating at the restaurant, I then said goodbye to them to head back to my college and thanked them for inviting me to celebrate raya here.Eventhough the raya is not happening as in malaysia, it was still enjoyable for me, and it was a new experience.I am thankful to God that I got the chance to celebrate raya with them in Nagasaki.Their presence made me forgot the sadness of being away from home on hari raya.Thanks guys!

trip to kagoshima - part 2

2nd day-28oct-9am-a noisy noise woke me up from sleep.it was the telephone ringing.who is this person who dare to disturb me even before my own 630am-set-alarm clock?i got up slowly, n picked the phone up, though still a bit mamai."helo?oop,salah2.moshimoshi?", i said."moshimoshi.muzakkirusan, " a familiar voice replied."hait," i replied."please come downstairs now.we`re all waiting for you.its already 9am." that voice said(of course la in japanese), which i immediately recognised as my teacher`s."huh!!9am!hait2.i`ll be downstairs right away.", i replied again.Oh my god!I overslept!I was supposed to get up at 630am and wake up my other friends who had told me to do so last night, and then go for breakfast at 7am.How come i didnt hear my alarm clock?Waaa!!I quickly went to wash my face, then packed my things and rushed downstairs to check out.Arriving there, I saw everyone were already there, checked out, waitng for me.I apologised to them for being late.Luckily, no one was angry.They just smiled when I told them that I overslept.Fuhh!nasib baik..hehe..

Okay, today is the last day of our trip.We'll be going to 2 places today:The Sengan-en in Kagoshima city and Aso-san(mount Aso) in Kumamoto.

The Sengan-en is a Japanese style landscape garden, which is beautifully located at the foot of a hill near Kagoshima Bay.The garden contains former residential buildings,belonged to the Shimazu, the family clan which ruled Kagoshima for almost 700 years until the end of Japan`s feudal age.It has great view of Sakurajima, a famous-still-active-volcano.

We arrived there at about 10am.After paying the 900yen ticket, we then went inside.

-while waiting for sensei to buy the tickets, we took the chance to take pictures with these women-

We spent quite a long time at the garden, because it was quite big.Quite sad because this was our last destination in Kagoshima and we would be heading heading back home to our college after that.And that marked that our trip was coming near to the end.

After leaving the garden, we were then on our way home, and on the highways again we were.

We were on our way back, but we still have one more place to visit, the Aso-san in Kumamoto, which is on our way back.My teacher said that there are many cows there, so I thought that we were going to a farm to see them.

It was only when we were almost there when i got to know that we were not going there to see cows, but we`re going to see volcano!Iwas very excited!

Our teacher decided to drove till the top as the cable car were full of people.Arriving there, I stepped out of the van and, Brrrr....its was very cold outside.They were quite a lot of people that day.There were even tourists from Korea who came to see the volcano.This volcano is still active as you can see smokes coming out from its kawah.It`s not smoke actually.It is actually steam or vapour formed when cold air meets hot air.

On our way back, we stopped at the foot of the mountain to see some horses(though actually didn`t get to see them because they were very far from us).We also singgah at a stall to eat corns.

With that, our trip this year had come to the end.After 2 tiring days, it was the time for us to go back home to our college, go back to the busy life.I`m gonna miss the leisure time we had.I really enjoyed myself during this trip.I`m sure the others did too.Hope that we can have something like this again at other times.
Am looking forward to it!Next year we`ll try to proposed going somewhere farther, outside Kyushu.
Can`t wait till that time comes.Okay, its time to think about reports,exam etc now!=)

trip to kagoshima - part 1

Last week, on the 27~28th oct , i got the chance to do the thing that i like the most, TRAVEL!!it was the annual trip for oversea students organised by the college to let us enjoy n experience Japan(as they wrote it in the purpose of activity column in the proposal letter).This year`s destination would be KAGOSHIMA, Kyushu, Japan.
At first, we proposed to go outside Kyushu but because of limited budget and time, the college decided that its gonna be kagoshima this year.Kagoshima is situated in the south of Kyushu Island, about 200km from my college in Kurume.It took us about 3hours to get there.

The school rented a 10-seat van for us and our hostel`s staff act as our driver.There were all 8 of us in this trip.5 students which all came from different countries-srilanka,morocco,malaysia,mongolia n laos, 2 teachers n the pakcik hostel.

1st day-27oct-830am-we gather in front of the college`s office n off we go!

After about 45 min on the highway, we stopped for about 10 min here to find something for breakfast.

At first i couldn`t find anything that i can eat(common problem for muslims in japan) but as i was just about to give up, i noticed there were onigiri`s near the entrance door.And that onigiri became my santapan that morning.

- enjoying a tuna mayonnaise onigiri(once hated food, now kind of like it)-

Then we continued our journey to kagoshima, non-stop(juz stopped once for a quick lunch) staright to kagoshima.The scenery along the way were magnificient!These are just some of them.

Our first stop on our place to visit list was a memorial park(sorry i forgot the name) dedicated for the soldiers who died during the, world war 2 if i'm not mistaken.These soldiers would fly a fighter plane and crash themselves into the enemy`s ship, plane, buildings etc.Yup, they die for certain.This memorial park was built on the site of the army`s air base where those willing-to-die soldiers departed for their mission.

-who would expect that even botak trees can make a place looks beautiful?-

After spending about an hour there, we then proceed to our next stop, the Samurai Garden in Chiran Town, not far from the memorial park.Chiran was a kamikaze base during the Second World War.This town includes a lane lined by residences of warriors who lived in the Edo period (17th through mid-19th centuries). The houses, together with the gardens have been well-preserved by the local authority.The size of the garden in each house determine their wealth and power.

Actually this would be our last destination for the day day but seems that we finished wondering around the garden earlier than we expected, we decided to go to have the famous sand spa in Ibusuki, about an hour journey from here.I couldn`t wait to get there because im very eager to know what is a sand spa.My teacher said that it is just the same like the hot spring, but what make it interesting is that sand is used instead of water.And you dont have to take off your clothes.(info:when japanese go to hotsprings, they take off all their clothes and get into the water together!)

O our way to the sand spa, we dropped by in a place near Lake Ikeda, the biggest lake in Kyushu Island.We dropped by just to some eels which is famous here.These eels are not the same like the ones in our sawah padi in Malaysia.According to the pakcik there, these eels have longer life than the common eels that we see in pasar, market etc.Their life span is as same as human,about 70 years.And there are very big!They can grow up to 1.8 metres long, and 60cm wide.That`s as big as human!

After enjoying our time at the sand spa, we then went to a restaurant nearby to fill our hungry stomach.It had been 8 hours since we had our lunch, so everyone was starving.All the others were eager to try the Kurobuta(black pork,the most expensive pork meat in japan), a famous dish here.They had been talking about it even before the trip.I, of course didn't ate that.I settled with a set of tempura with rice.nyum2!

Eating at the restaurant was our last activity for that day.We then head to our place to stay for the night, Urbic Hotel, situated in Kagoshima city centre.We arrived at about 9.30pm and checked in straight away.At first i thought that we were going to share rooms, maybe about 2 or 3 persons a room as there are 8 of us.But when told that there would be a room for each of us, I was just like, wow!That was the first time in my life not having to share room during a school trip!And the room was excellent!With large bed for a person, a flat screen tv, internet connection, and a bathroom with huge bathtub.Oh, couldn't wait to lay myself on the bed!

But I didnt straight went to bed.After I get to my room and put my stuff, I went out again to and join my other 4 friends as we had planned to take a walk around Kagoshima city.So, we went out wondering around without any destination or intention cause the shops were already closed.Even if you see that shops or shopping plazas are closed in japan, that doesnt mean that the japanese are already at home, resting or doing something else.If you go much deeper inside small streets behind buildings, you'll find places which are very much lively and happening.Here we can see the japanese enjoying themselves drinking, eating,playing games etc.And there are so many places like what they call 'love hotel'.When I saw this, I can say that japanese are more like americans.That is totally different from my perception about japanese people before.But of course you wont see families coming to this kind of place.Walking around this kind of place sounds scary, cause anyone would imagine that there would be gangsters, bandits, but actually its not that scary i can tell you.There are policemen in full uniforms wondering around here every single time, which shocked me.That really was a new experience for me.We took quite a long time wondering around the city, and we went back to the hotel at around 1am.Exhausted after a tiring day, I get to my room, cleaned myself a little bit and went to bed looking forward for the next day.
